An Arizona lawmaker who resigned after refusing to cooperate with an ethics probe was accused more than 30 years ago of paying children—one of them developmentally disabled—for sex, according to documents released Friday. Former state representative David Stringer, a Republican, accepted a plea deal on some charges in the case, but few details were available because the court record was later expunged by a judge, according to the Arizona Republic. Baltimore cops arrested Stringer after one of the boys, who was under 15, alleged he met them in a park and took them back to his apartment for sex. “(Name redacted) said that he has been back to see Mr. Dave at least 10 additional times since the first time,” the police report said. “He said that each time he has been asked to perform acts of fellatio and sodomy with David Stringer.” Stringer has not commented on the documents but had previously told Prescott eNews: “There is no guilty plea, no conviction. I have no record; I have done nothing wrong.”
