A founding member of Grammy Award-winning band Turnstile has been arrested on a second-degree attempted murder charge over an alleged hit-and-run attack. Brady Ebert, 33, was taken into custody in Montgomery County, Maryland, according to police records obtained by the Daily Mail. The Baltimore Banner reported that he is accused of intentionally hitting the lead singer’s father, William Yates, with a car on March 29, leaving Yates with severe trauma to both legs. In addition to the attempted murder charge, Ebert faces one count of assault. He made his first court appearance on Wednesday and is being held without bail. Ebert was one of the founding members of Baltimore hardcore band Turnstile, which formed in 2010. He left the band in 2022, just as the group broke into the mainstream. He had since joined up-and-coming Baltimore band The S.E.T., but was expelled from the group in February after what the band described as “ridiculous comments and behavior toward the members of our band and our community.” Fans had also raised concerns about his social media behavior in recent months.
