Fox News host Jessica Tarlov said that even some of President Donald Trump’s most ardent supporters are growing weary of the “chaos” of his first weeks in office.
Tarlov, who previously said on The Five that the rollout of Trump’s agenda has been “complete chaos,” was talking about Elon Musk’s “federal government takeover” with Scott Galloway on his The Prof G Podcast.
The Fox News host and Galloway, a clinical professor of marketing at the New York University Stern School of Business, were discussing Musk’s growing influence in the government and the legal cases piling up against him and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
She described a 20-year-old college “bro” reaching out to her, saying that he and some of his close circle are growing increasingly “frustrated” by Trump 2.0.
“It only took two weeks, and this level of chaos, for some Trump supporters to become frustrated. This is likely just the beginning,” Tarlov, a Democratic strategist who provides the dissenting voice on The Five, wrote on X.
Tarlov said the politics-savvy college student she spoke to is from the Midwest and that he reached out a second time after an initial phone conversation. She quoted him as saying: “I really appreciated hearing what you had to say the past week. You really opened my mind on certain things, as someone who voted for Trump.
“You have been communicating a lot of frustrations I have been feeling alongside some family and friends who didn’t expect all the chaos. Not to mention the tariffs, as my family owns a small business where all our products are made in China.”
The latest twist in the U.S.-China tit-for-tat tariff war saw Trump initiate new levies of 25 percent on steel and aluminum imports. Earlier this month, 10 percent tariffs on all Chinese imports to the U.S. came into effect.
“So this is a 20 year old ‘bro’ who comes from a conservative family, they love Trump and it only took them—I got this a week ago—two weeks... this level of chaos for him to feel strongly enough that he would write that down.

“That’s not a casual comment, and he told me that I could talk about it, that I could put that out on air, so it’s obviously something that is very emblematic of not only what’s going on in his life, but what’s going on in his orbit.”
A CBS News poll Sunday showed that a majority of Americans look favorably at Trump’s first few weeks in office. Most described him as “tough” (69 percent), “energetic” (63 percent), “focused” (60 percent) and “effective” (58 percent).
But despite the overall positivity on his dealing with the Israel-Hamas war, CBS News reported that 47 percent of Americans think it would be a “bad idea” to attempt a takeover of Gaza, as Trump as proposed. The Americans polled are also concerned that Trump has not yet delivered on a key campaign promise: lowering inflation.
