Here we go. The Supreme Court will hear historic oral arguments on marriage equality Tuesday. In the first of two days, gay-marriage activists will argue that the Constitution protects the right to same-sex marriage and that states cannot reject this. Proposition 8 will come to the forefront of the arguments, as the judges will consider whether the California ruling defining marriage between a man and woman is valid.
