Glenn Mulcaire, the former News of the World investigator at the center of News Corp’s phone-hacking scandal, thinks his victims are “persecuting” him. Mulcaire’s law firm has written to the many people who have launched lawsuits against the private detective, saying there’s no point to their legal claims: Mulcaire is broke. “He is unable to pay for representation," the letter says. "To continue to join our clients to yet more claims, without any proper litigation purpose, looks like persecution.”
