Google will ban all political ads, as well as ads related to the Jan. 6 insurrection in the U.S. Capitol, Axios reports. The company plans to keep the policy until at least Jan. 21, the day after President-elect Joe Biden is scheduled to be sworn into office. Ads make up the bulk of the tech giant’s revenue. Google instituted a similar ban following Nov. 3’s presidential election, lifting it just over a month later ahead of the U.S. Senate run-off elections in Georgia.
