The prostitute charged with manslaughter in the death of a Google executive entered a not guilty plea to all charges against her on Wednesday. Alix Catherine Tichelman is being held on allegations of injecting a lethal amount of heroin into Forrest Hayes and fleeing the yacht where he overdosed. Santa Cruz judge Timothy Volkmann refused to lower Tichelman’s $1.5 million bail. "The court expresses distinct concerns with the defendant’s desire to return for a future court appearance,” he said. Police say that when Hayes, 51, showed signs of medical distress after being injected with heroin, Tichelman gathered evidence, finished her wine, and ditched the crime scene. In total, Tichelman faces eight felony and misdemeanor counts. Her court-appointed lawyer Larry Biggam said she had no motive to kill him. “To demonize and sensationalize and totally blame Alix Tichelman for his [Hayes’] death is totally unfair. These people were involved in mutual drug use and a consensual affair.”
