An Imam scheduled to speak at Donald Trump’s inauguration was reportedly pulled from the line-up at the eleventh hour because he refused to acknowledge Hezbollah as a terrorist organization during a Fox News interview with Sean Hannity 17 years ago. Imam Husham Al-Husainy, head of the Dearborn, Michigan, Islamic education center, Karbalaa, was listed among the religious leaders giving benedictions on an earlier inauguration ceremony program along with Rabbi Ari Berman, Senior Pastor Lorenzo Sewell, and Rev. Father Frank Mann, but did not make an appearance at Monday’s ceremony in the Rotunda. According to the Jewish Insider, Al-Husainy’s disappearance was explained by his exchange with Hannity in January 2007 when asked about Hezbollah’s terrorist credentials. “First of all - first of all, Hezbollah is a Lebanese organization. And I’ve got nothing to do with that. But there is a biblical meaning of Hezbollah. It is in Judaism and Christianity and Islam meaning people of God and that means yes,” he replied.
