iPad 2 May be Delayed by Japan Quake

Of the many factories shut down due to Japan's earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear crisis, several produce key iPad 2 components, resulting in a potential shortage of the new device. The iPad battery is made by Apple Japan, a report by the research firm iSuppli says, so logistical disruptions may mean that Apple could have difficulties obtaining this battery, and it may not be able to secure supply from an external, non-Japanese source. The flash memory for the iPad is produced in a Toshiba plant shut down by the quake. Even if the factories aren't shut down, the report says supply and distribution logistics are likely to be disrupted. The current wait time for an iPad 2 is four to five weeks.
