Immigrants aren’t the only ones staying away from Arizona: Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon said the city is “near economic crisis” due to the nationwide boycott of the state because of its harsh, new immigration law. Gordon commissioned a study to examine the impact canceled trips might have on the economy of the popular convention city. The study found that just 13 canceled events would cost Phoenix $90 million. However, so far only four groups have canceled events planned in Phoenix.
