Italy Hits 24-Hour Record With 3,590 New Coronavirus Cases

Italy reported at least 3,590 new cases and 369 new deaths from the novel coronavirus on Sunday, setting a new 24-hour record as the country remains under a widespread lockdown. That means as of Sunday, more than 24,747 cases of the virus have been recorded, along with at least 1,809 deaths. Italy has conducted at least 124,899 tests for the virus since it first hit there three weeks ago.
