Jessica Simpson married ex-NFL player Eric Johnson after talking about their impending nuptials in an array of talk-show appearances and magazines for what seemed like an awfully long time. Simpson and Johnson have been engaged since 2010. The couple said “I do” at the San Ysidro Ranch in California on Saturday with their two children, Ace and Maxwell, by their side. Simpson first earned fame as a late 1990's pop singer, but became a household name from MTV's 2003 Newlyweds with her first husband Nick Lachey. The couple divorced shortly after the show ended in 2005, and Lachey married Vanessa Minnillo in 2011. Simpson proceeded to date John Mayer, who called her “sexual napalm.” She also briefly dated Tony Romo, which earned her the ire of a legion of Dallas Cowboy fans who felt she was an unnecessary distraction. Johnson is retired from football, so at least no angry sports spectators will be interfering with their marriage.
