Comedian Jimmy Fallon surprised the 2018 class of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School by speaking at their graduation on Sunday. “You are not just the future–you are the present. Keep changing the world. Keep making us proud,” Fallon told close to 800 graduates and their families at the BB&T Center arena. The loved ones of Nicholas Dworet, Joaquin Oliver, Meadow Pollack, and Carmen Schentrup were honored at the ceremony, and given diplomas on behalf of the students who were killed in the Feb. 14 school shooting. “When something feels hard, remember that it gets better. Choose to move forward,” Fallon said. “Don't let anything stop you.” He also reportedly thanked the students for their “bravery and activism” in the fallout of the Parkland shooting. Since 17 were killed at the hands of former student Nikolas Cruz, some of the students have been responsible for starting the March For Our Lives rally and the National School Walkouts to denounce gun violence and promote reform.
