U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman said Wednesday that penalties against Tom Brady may be dropped due to cited weaknesses in the way the NFL handled the case. The suspension, which would have lasted four games, was upheld by Roger Goodell last month. Berman said he hopes to make a final ruling by September 4, which would be just six-days before the Patriots' season opening game.
