A federal judge denied former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort’s request to “suppress evidence seized by the FBI from his home” on Wednesday, Reuters reports. Manafort’s lawyers attempted to argue that the search warrant obtained in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation was “overly broad and unconstitutional.” “Given the nature of the investigation, the warrant was not too broad in scope,” wrote Judge Amy Berman Jackson. Manafort faces two different trials in Washington, D.C. and Virginia related to “lobbying work he performed for the pro-Russia Ukrainian government.” He also faces money laundering, bank, and tax fraud charges.
