Jurors Reach Verdict in Arias Case

The spectacle that was the Jodi Arias trial is nearly over. After three days of deliberations, jurors have reached a verdict—to be read at 4:30 p.m. ET—on whether they will charge Arias with first-degree murder in the brutal slaying of her 30-year-old ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander. In closing arguments on Friday, the prosecution painted a haunting picture of Arias—a California waitress and budding photographer—as a manipulative liar and killer. Although Arias continues to deny involvement in the death, authorities say she planned the attack in a “jealous rage” after witnessing Alexander pursue other women.
