Jussie Smollett, the actor accused of staging a racist, homophobic attack on himself as a “publicity stunt,” will return to Empire, his co-star Taraji P. Henson said Thursday on The View. When asked if Smollett was slated to return, Henson said, “Yes. I haven't heard anything else.” The series is currently on hiatus before its sixth season. Henson’s remark comes a week after all charges against the actor were dropped in a surprise move by Chicago prosecutors.
