Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and other artists honored XXXTentacion at the Thursday night release party of his posthumous album, “Skins.” The Associated Press reports West jumped on stage and performed the song “One-Minute” at the event at Art Basel. West also reportedly spoke about XXXTentacion’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard. The AP reports Lil Wayne also paid tribute to the deceased rapper, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy. Wayne reportedly performed the song “Don’t Cry” while the audience sang Onfroy’s part through tears. Artists Trippie Redd and PNB Rock also reportedly made appearances to honor Onfroy, who was gunned down earlier this year in front of a motorcycle dealership. Onfroy was only 20-years-old when he died. His album was reportedly one of the “top five most streamed on Apple Music” this year and his song “Sad!” was “the second most-streamed song on Spotify in 2018.
