The parents of Abdul-Rahman Kassig made a poetic statement at a press conference in Indiana on Monday, after their son, a 26-year-old humanitarian worker, was killed by ISIS this weekend. "Our hearts are battered but they will mend, the world is broken but it will be healed in the end, and good will prevail as the one god of many names will prevail," his mother Paula said. His father Ed asked for prayers for his son and for "all people held against their will" in Iraq, Syria, and around the world. He said the family would be spending some time grieving his son and also forgiving. They are planning a joint Muslim-Christian memorial service.
