The world has perhaps never been more frightening than when people genuinely believe President Trump is a holy savior destined to save the world. And yet we saw for ourselves this week that such conspiracy theories not only have support, they’ve now made their way into Trump rallies with more ease and acceptance than most legitimate news organizations. We at The Daily Beast want to fight back against the increasingly disturbing “truth” taking shape in the pro-Trump ecosystem. Sure, we laughed at QAnon, shook our fists even, but at the end of the day, the best way to fight such far-right fantasy is to keep speaking truth to power.
