Eliud Kipchoge set a new world record at the Berlin Marathon on Sunday, beating the previous record by more than a full minute. Kipchoge, 33, ran 26.2 miles in a time of 2:01:39, far above the previous 2:02:57. The Kenyan athlete is an undefeated Olympic champion in the marathon and has won 10 of the 11 marathons he’s entered. Ahead of Sunday’s marathon, he was modest about his goals, saying only that he wanted to achieve a “personal best.”
