Doctor Who

The new season of BBC America's sci-fi series Doctor Who features Londoner Pearl Jackson as the first openly gay companion. She talked to The Daily Beast about life in and outside the TARDIS.

Call after call came in, neighbors and friends begging the doctor not to hurt them. But after another noisy Puget Sound pre-dawn with feathers and claws flying, he had to do something.

He dresses in black, doesn’t flirt, speaks with a Scottish accent, and is, well, a bit of a jerk. Peter Capaldi’s incarnation of Doctor Who is the darkest yet. Warning: spoilers.
