Director Tobias Lindholm’s Netflix film tells the story of real-life nurse Charles Cullen (Eddie Redmayne) and the fellow nurse (Jessica Chastain) who helped expose his madness.
The “Harry Potter” spinoff sequel stars Jude Law, Eddie Redmayne, and Mads Mikkelsen, who takes over the villainous role of Grindelwald from Johnny Depp.
“Respect for transgender people remains a cultural imperative,” Redmayne said in a statement. “Trans women are women, trans men are men and non-binary identities are valid.”
