As more details from Saturday’s tragic limo fire come out, the accounts between the passengers and the driver show some key differences. Passenger Neila Arellano said in an interview with KGO-TV that she and the other women had hit the partition to tell the driver, Oliver Brown, about smoke in the back of the limo, but he only responded that smoking wasn’t allowed, but the taps became more urgent and someone screamed “Pull over!” He escaped out the front door and helped pull some of the women through the partition, but the rest became trapped in the back. A coroner said the position of the dead bodies indicated they were trying to make it to the partition to escape. The women were celebrating the marriage of Neriza Fojas, 31, who perished in the fire.
