This is not for the faint of heart. One of Spain’s most famous matadors, Julio Aparicio, had the worst kind of workplace accident Friday when a bull gored him through the throat. The horn entered his throat, ripped through his tongue and pierced the roof of his mouth while fracturing his jawbone. Though he is in grave condition in the hospital, doctors expect him to live after being treated for skull damage and undergoing a tracheotomy. The 1,100-pound bull named Opiparo got to him after Aparicio lost his footing during the Corrida de la Feria de San Isidro in Las Ventanas, Spain.
