Republican Senator John McCain has joined the chorus of lawmakers saying that former Defense Secretary Robert Gates should have delayed publishing his memoir. The memoir caused a stir in Washington due to the opinions Gates discloses on President Obama, Vice President Biden, and members of Congress. "If I (had been) giving him advice, I would have waited," McCain said on CNN's State of the Union, saying maybe until after operations in Afghanistan were over. Senator Marco Rubio and Rep. Elijah Cummings have also criticized the timing of the book.
