Former heavyweight champion and retired boxer Mike Tyson was spotted at President-elect Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate Saturday, according to an Instagram post by a real estate executive. Brian Schottenstein, the president of Columbus-based Schottenstein Real Estate Group, shared an image of himself posing with the former “Kid Dynamite,”58, who in 1986 became the youngest man to win a heavyweight title. Trump and Tyson have had a relationship dating back to the fighter’s early career, when the future politician hosted boxing matches in Atlantic City. “I always remember him from being a good guy, paying me a lot of money,” Tyson told The Pivot podcast in 2022. The longtime Trump pal has been something of a fixture at Mar-a-Lago in recent days: last week, he was seen there with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Trump’s proposed nominee for Health and Human Services Secretary, and his spouse, actress Cheryl Hines. Schottenstein‘s post also shows Trump was on hand at some point during the day before he headed to Maryland to attend the Army-Navy football game. In a 2019 appearance on actor Michael Rapaport’s podcast, Tyson praised Trump for standing by him after he was convicted of rape in 1992: “He only said beautiful things about me.”
