Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson suffered a medical emergency on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on Sunday but now seems to be back on his feet. Tyson’s representatives told the New York Post on Monday, “Thankfully Mr Tyson is doing great. He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him.” An eyewitness told In Touch that passengers on the flight heard an announcement asking for a doctor and that once the plane landed, paramedics came on board to attend to Tyson. The boxer’s rep denied reports that the incident delayed passengers leaving the plane. “It’s false reporting that his medical attention caused the flight delay,” the rep told the Post. “This two-hour delay was due to an air conditioning issue on the aircraft.” Tyson, who turns 58 next month, is scheduled to return to the ring July 20 to fight YouTuber-turned-fighter Jake Paul, 27, in what’s expected to be a big cash grab for Netflix.
