The bones and eyeglasses of a 61-year-old woman who went missing in 2015 were likely found in her Houston bungalow by the home's new residents. Mary Cerruti's neighbors hired private investigators and contacted police when she went missing, but nothing ever came of the inquiries and eventually a bank foreclosed on her home. The new homeowners moved in this past weekend—after a series of renovations—and found the bones and a pair of red glasses in a gap in the wall. It remains unclear how authorities, investigators, and renovators all missed that her body could have been in the walls of the house for two years. The medical examiner's office has extracted the bones but so far only determined that they belong to an adult. Houston Police Detective Jason Fay said the new homeowners were "a little worried because they have a body in the house." He added, "Was it someone who was killed and stuffed in the wall, or did they accidentally pass away by ending up in the wall?" Officials can't yet say for certain how the body got there or to whom it belongs.
