The National Geographic Channel has pulled Neil deGrasse Tyson’s StarTalk show off the air while an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against the astrophysicist is conducted, Variety reports. “In order to allow the investigation to occur unimpeded we chose to hold new episodes of StarTalk until it is complete,” a Nat Geo representative told Variety. “We expect that to happen in the next few weeks at which time we’ll make a final decision.” StarTalk was early in its fifth season when new allegations against Tyson emerged from a Bucknell University professor and his former assistant. Dr. Katelyn N. Allers accused Tyson of groping her at an event in 2009, and ex-assistant Ashley Watson alleged that he made “repeated inappropriate sexual advances” toward her. After the allegations were made public, Fox Networks Group and the producers of another Tyson-hosted series, Cosmos, confirmed they had opened an investigation in to the matter. Seventeen more episodes of StarTalk are reportedly ready to air, featuring guests like Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin, former Vice President Al Gore, Dan Rather, and actor Jeff Goldblum.
