'One of the Best'

Navy ID’s SEAL Killed in Accident

31-year-old Brett Shadle.

On Saturday officials revealed the identity of the elite Navy SEAL Team Six member killed during a parachute training accident in Arizona on Thursday. Brett Shadle, a 31-year-old Special Warfare Operator Chief, was thought of as a “great operator, a true friend, and a nice guy.” An ex-SEAL who served alongside Shadle said he was the top of the top. “Both tactically on the battlefield and at home, he was one of the best SEALs I’ve ever worked with,” the ex-SEAL said. Authorities are still investigating the free-fall training accident, in which a midair collision took the life of Shadle and severely injured another SEAL.
