New Jersey Couple Killed in Car Crash on the Way to Their Wedding

A New Jersey woman and her fiancé have reportedly been killed in a multi-car pileup in Berks County, Pennsylvania while driving to their wedding. USA Today named the couple as Kathryn M. Schurtz and Joseph D. Kearney. They died Wednesday driving to their Pittsburgh wedding, according to the municipal government of Fanwood, Union County. It was a chain-reaction crash on I-78 in Berks County involving a tractor-trailer and five other vehicles. Schurtz, 35, loved reading, cooking and having new adventures with her fiancé, according to the post on the Fanwood government's Facebook page. Services are scheduled for this week.
