Judge Reinstates New York Democratic Primary in Response to Andrew Yang’s Lawsuit

New York’s Democratic primary election is back on, KHON 2 reports, thanks to a lawsuit filed by former presidential candidate Andrew Yang. On Tuesday, Federal Judge Analisa Torres ordered the June 23 primary to take place, reversing an April 27 order from the New York State Board of Elections suspending it due to the coronavirus. Board Co-Chair Douglas Kellner told KHON the agency plans to appeal.
