Though this may not be the first time Carla Bruni Sarkozy has stripped down for the camera, it’ll be the first time New Yorkers can sneak a peek of the first lady of France sans clothing. Bruni posed nude for French photographer Philippe Robert in a series of images initially published in Harper’s Bazaar Italy, and will be displayed at the Art Photo Expo New York gallery opening on Monday, September 14. The model-cum-political trophy wife, who was a top earner in the 1990s, previously exposed herself to photographer Michel Comte in 1993. Much to her dismay, Comte sold the photo of Bruni, full frontal but coyly and strategically placing her hands over her nether regions, to Christie’s auction house in March of last year.
