A Cathedral Village facility nurse has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and neglect following the death of the father of Trump’s ex-security advisor H.R. McMaster Jr., according to ABC 6. Police claim that Christann Gainey failed to check on 84-year-old H.R. McMaster Sr. “after a fall and falsified paperwork in the hours before his death.” McMaster Sr. had a stroke in early April and was known to be at risk of falling. He was found on the floor of his room on April 12 with “open wounds” to his temple and shoulder. Gainey filled out a neurological flow sheet “as though she was conducting neurological evaluations of McMaster Sr., as required by facility policy,” police said, according to ABC 6. But surveillance video showed she never actually completed the evaluations, investigators said. Police also claim that Gainey falsified a morning check at 7:20 a.m. the morning McMaster Sr. was found dead. A nurse assistant was worried he was not breathing, but Gainey allegedly told the assistant that he was fine.
