President Barack Obama will deliver his final press conference to the American people at 2:15 p.m. EST on January 18th from the White House briefing room.
The press conference will likely be the final time the American people will hear from the outgoing president while he still holds office.
Just two days before his term as commander in chief ends and President-elect Donald Trump is sworn in, Obama will continue the presidential tradition of holding a concluding press conference.

President Obama will likely field questions from reporters regarding Russia’s influence on the election as well as general inquiries about his legacy and hopes for America’s future.
The President also gave a departing address in Chicago last week, highlighting these topics and offering his parting advice to the country. He has previously described his eight years in office as an “amazing journey.”
Among the messages Obama offered in his farewell address, he reiterated his trademark message of hope:
“For now, whether you’re young or young at heart, I do have one final ask of you as your president—the same thing I asked when you took a chance on me eight years ago. I am asking you to believe. Not in my ability to bring about change—but in yours.”
