Surveys are showing that only one in 10 voters is actually open to switching parties, but that isn’t stopping the new media and appearance barrage. For now, the two candidates remain virtually tied in nationwide polls, with Obama showing a slight lead in Florida and New Hampshire. Both campaigns say they will be focusing heavily on base voter turnout.
