Freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) rejected a report in Politico that she fought with Rep. Frank Pallone (D-NJ) during a closed-door meeting of House Democrats about the establishment of a climate panel. “I never even had a direct interaction with him today,” she tweeted Thursday night. “When did Politico turn into TMZ?” Politico reported earlier Thursday that after Pallone, the incoming chair of Energy and Commerce Committee, had “slammed” the creation of a separate climate committee, Ocasio-Cortez and others had then “fought back,” saying it needed to be done because they “ran on the issue.”
