The family of a mentally ill man who died after he was tased repeatedly has filed a federal lawsuit against police near Milwaukee, claiming that officers violated the man’s constitutional rights by using excessive, deadly force. Adam Trammell died in May 2017 after officers broke down his door and confronted him while he was naked in the shower. The lawsuit names several officers as defendants and claims they failed to follow training protocol.
