As a photographer in this city of photographers, it is always a challenge to make new and interesting photographs because there have been so many great ones taken here. That’s what made this assignment of photographing Old Glory in New York so interesting to me. From 232nd Street to Coney Island, I canvassed the five boroughs of New York City with a very specific target—looking for interesting moments where people and our national flag combined.
