Pakistani politician Imran Khan is in stable condition on Wednesday after he fell off a makeshift stage during a campaign rally in Lahore. Khan, a former cricket player, is the leader of Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. Khan received 15 stitches to his head when he fell 14 feet, although doctors said the bulletproof vest he was wearing possibly saved him from more serious injuries. In a statement from his hospital bed, Khan urged voters to still go to the polls on May 11, when the country will vote in a new prime minister and president. Meanwhile, at least two people were killed and three were injured in a grenade attack in northwest Pakistan in violence leading up to the election.
