Pamela Anderson has been snubbed for an Oscar despite her riveting performance in The Last Showgirl. The Baywatch legend was widely tipped for Academy recognition because of her portrayal of an aging dancer, battling for relevance. However, despite earning surprise nominations from the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards, Anderson will not get her hands on an Oscar this time around. Her co-star Jamie Lee Curtis’ name was also left off the list for Best Supporting Actress despite picking up key precursor nods. After the Oscar nominations were announced Thursday morning, Pam’s fans took to X in dismay. “Pamela was done wrong by the Academy Awards, not fair,” one moaned. Anderson said The Last Showgirl was the best “payback” after Hulu series Pam & Tommy left her feeling down as, she claims, she had no involvement. “This is the best payback … I’m being seen and recognized for my work and not these tawdry moments," she said on Sirius XM’s Andy Cohen Live. Also snubbed were Margaret Qualley for The Substance, Hugh Grant for Heretic, Danielle Deadwyler for The Piano Lesson, and Clarence Maclin for Sing Sing.
