Three parents of Parkland shooting victims will attend President Trump's State of the Union address on Tuesday evening, The Sun-Sentinel reports. Fred Guttenberg, whose daughter—Jaime—was killed in the Feb. 14, 2018 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, will reportedly be a guest of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). “First and most importantly, I want [Trump] to mention the gun in gun violence,” he told The Daily Beast. “...I simply want him to acknowledge that we need to do more and that as a start he will meet with me or other gun safety advocates.” Joining Guttenberg at the SOTU are Andrew Pollack and Manuel Oliver—reportedly guests of Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) and Rep. Ted Deutch (D-FL), respectively. Pollack has reportedly been an advocate of “stronger school security and accountability” among local officials after the death of his daughter, Meadow. According to the newspaper, Oliver started a gun safety-focused organization called Change The Ref in memory of his son, Joaquin. Cameron Kasky, Parkland survivor and co-founder of March for Our Lives, will also attend as a guest of Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA).
