Security video captured Patricia Ripley pushing her 9-year-old autistic son into a Florida canal only for him to be rescued by a passer-by—an hour before she allegedly led him to his death in a different canal. The Miami Herald reports that video obtained by Univision contains what authorities think was a thwarted first attempt on Alejandro’s life. Ripley, who falsely told Miami-Dade police that two black men abducted her son, has been charged with murder.
