Peter Jackson’s Jet Hunts MH370

Peter Jackson, who directed the Lord of the Rings movies, is getting in on the search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, reportedly lending his private jet to act as a communications relay. The Oscar-winner’s Gulfstream G650 can travel up to 8,000 miles without refueling. A spokesman did not say whether Jackson, who grew up in New Zealand, was being paid for the service, or whether he offered the jet, or it was requested by authorities. “Peter would not seek publicity for something like this and would actively avoid it, in fact,” his spokesman said.
