Pfizer CEO Sold $5.6M in Stock on Day of Vaccine Announcement

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla sold $5.6 million in stock on the same day he announced that the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine had shown 90 percent effectiveness in preliminary results, Axios reports. Pfizer’s stocks increased by 8 percent on Monday in the wake of the news of the promising vaccine. A Pfizer spokesperson said in a statement to Axios that the sale was part of a plan drafted back in August.
