An Air France pilot gave a sassy update to his passengers after a woman fell ill during a 6,000-mile flight from San Francisco to Paris. The passenger was so angry with the decision of the airline to divert AF81 to St. John’s in Newfoundland, Canada, so that she could be rushed to the hospital that she gave the pilots and flight attendants the finger as she was taken off the Airbus A350 on a stretcher. After she was greeted by fire trucks and ambulances on the tarmac in Canada, the pilot provided a blunt update. “You’ll be happy to learn that our passenger, which we saved her life, she was a bit angry to be offloaded from the aircraft,” he said. “She gave us the finger when leaving the aircraft, and she’s still being very angry at the hospital. That’s it.” Aviation2z reported that the flight changed course after consultations with medical experts, as no doctor was on board to help with the emergency. Following a two-hour descent and an hour and a half on the ground, the flight continued on to Paris.
