Beware of thieves in rubbish clothing—one particularly dedicated culprit is donning garbage bags to steal packages from unsuspecting people’s porches. Security footage provided by a Sacramento, California, resident shows the bagged offender creeping toward the resident’s front door and scooping up a package from the doorstep on March 29. The resident, Omar Gabriel Munoz, told Storyful that he got a delivery notification while at work on Friday but returned home that evening to find the parcel nowhere in sight. It was then that he checked his home surveillance system and saw the footage of the mysterious thief. Their only identifying characteristic was their shoes—they appeared to be shuffling along in socks and white rubber slides as they carried out the heist. It was unclear whether the theft had been reported to the police, if the thief had been caught, or if the package had been returned to Munoz.
