Qantas Works to End Labor Dispute

Qantas planes could be back in the air Monday night. An Australian tribunal ordered the airline to resume flights on Monday and permanently end the grounding of its fleet. The government asked the Fair Work Australia court to step in, and the tribunal also ruled that the strike of the staff unions should be terminated. The decision gives the management and unions 21 days to resolve their labor dispute, or an arbitration will be forced on them. Nearly 70,000 people have been affected by the grounding of the fleet and cancellation of hundreds of flights in 22 countries.
