Michigan Representative Thad McCotter found a creative way to deal with the embarrassment of his short-lived presidential run: writing his own television show. The Detroit News got a copy of his script for a pilot entitled Bumper Sticker: Made on Motown, revealing that the proposed variety show features sexism, racism, vulgar humor, and bodily functions and employs a cast of McCotter’s own staffers and other prominent conservatives—some of whom had no idea the script even existed. McCotter claims it was just a one-off piece, saying that writing it was simply a creative way to deal with his failed presidential bid. He is planning to leave elected office in 2014 and is preparing for his future career by networking with conservatives in Hollywood. He also insists his script-writing time wasn't paid for by taxpayers. "Most of my writing is done in my garage ... where I can smoke," he said.
